The latest version of macOS, dubbed Catalina, is out today, per Apple. It's a free software update just like it always is and roughly coincides with the recent releases of iOS 13 and the new iPadOS. As you'd expect, it brings a handful of big new features without fundamentally changing much about your day-to-day macOS routine.
Arguably the biggest addition is Apple Arcade for macOS. The subscription-based gaming service got pretty rave reviews when it launched on iOS last month, and the release of Catalina gives you another place to play those same games.
