'Tetris' is coming to VR as a music-driven game and OMG we don't deserve this joy

Sure, virtual reality hasn't fully caught on yet. But a Tetris release ensures that it will never really die.

The venerable falling blocks game is pegged for a PlayStation VR rebirth this fall. It's called Tetris Effect, and it's coming from the creator (Tetsuya Mizuguchi) behind the transcendant puzzle-meets-music series, Rez, and the studio (Enhance Games) that helped him bring Rez Infinite to VR in 2016.

This trailer might not reveal much, but it's great. It's also what may be Sony's most exciting announcement to date for PSVR. (It looks like there will be a no-VR mode as well.) Read more...
