As the daughter of a dentist, I'll be the first to tell you that traditional braces suck. I had those puppies on for almost three years, partially because my gap-toothed smile needed it, but also because my dad liked to use me, his eldest, as a guinea pig for the new techniques he picked up at orthodontics conferences.
