I'm not sure if raves are still a thing, but I'm pretty sure IKEA is trying to make them a thing again.
The furniture brand teamed up with Teenage Engineering, the Swedish consumer electronics company behind the OP-1 synthesizer and Pocket Operator, to create a limited edition speaker collection called FREKVANS.
The latest collaboration comes only shortly after IKEA partnered with Sonos to create the SYMFONISK collection. You can choose between a lamp with a Sonos One speaker built into the base or bookshelf speakers that you can tuck away on the shelf or use as bookends.
But where the SYMFONISK lamp and speakers are clearly built for those in the "adulting" stages of their lives, the FREKVANS collection is not. Let's just say it consists of pieces the frat guys I knew in college would have 100 percent fawned over. Read more...
